Thanks to its seven international airports, today it is easy to reach Romania, in particular Costanza and so Mamaia, via national, European and international flights. What’s more, the main cities can also be reached by train or bus from Italy.
Numerous airlines from all countries fly to Romania’s airports, with some offering more than one daily flight.
The capital Bucarest is connected to the main Italian airports with several flights a day, through various airlines and in particular with the two national airlines (Romanian and Italian) Tarom and Alitalia, who also operate in code share, as well as other national airlines.
Among the low cost airlines who fly to Romania are: Ryanair, Easyjet, Blue Air, Wizzair and many more.
During the summer season, there are many direct flights to the airport of Costanza, Mihail Kogalniceanu Intl. The airport is about 20 kilometres to the north west of the city. Companies like Ryanair, Turkish Airlines, Blue Air, etc., fly to Costanza from Pisa, from Istanbul, from Bergamo several times a week during the summer season. Since 2011 it has been possible to reach Costanza also with twice weekly flights from Milan all year round.
Alternatively, from Bucarest there are many connections to Costanza via train or bus depending on your needs.
In general, getting around Romania is very simple thanks to well organised services and the maintenance of public transport. These services are carried out by many companies some private to a European level.
